About Minimally Invasive Body Contouring
Sometimes a healthy diet and exercise just aren’t enough to achieve the tight body that you’ve always wanted. It isn’t uncommon for stubborn pockets of fat to remain in “problem spots,” like the hips, stomach and flanks, even after you’ve lost weight.
For formerly obese patients who may have lost massive amounts of weight, there is still more to worry about. Sagging, overstretched skin will not repair itself on its own. But BodyTite offers these patients a minimally invasive alternative to a tummy tuck and other sorts of involved skin surgeries. BodyTite accomplishes its sculpted results through a tiny hole no wider than a pencil.
The innovative technology is FDA approved to safely squelch stubborn pockets of fat without harming the surrounding tissue. As an added benefit, BodyTite’s rays of RF energy stimulate collagen production under the skin. Collagen is responsible for the supple, responsive skin usually associated with youth.
BodyTite offers the best of both worlds because it is a skin tightening and fat removal procedure combined into a single, minimally invasive treatment!
BodyTite is versatile because it can smooth away intractable pockets of fat and improve skin laxity almost anywhere on the body. Aging patients or patients who have experienced significant weight loss commonly contend with a litany of embarrassing skin issues, especially in the following areas:
- Love Handles
- Neck and Jowls

Patients seeking the benefits of the BodyTite minimally invasive body contouring system should be non-smokers who are generally in good health. BodyTite is not a weight loss procedure, so qualified candidates are at or near their ideal body weight. Aging patients, patients who have been pregnant or formerly obese patients who have lost weight may see significant gains from a BodyTite session.
Your Private Consultation
During your confidential consultation in our Beverly Hills office, Dr. Michael Omidi and his compassionate staff of medical professionals will qualify your candidacy for BodyTite or any of our other transformative procedures. Your consultation will consist of a thorough physical examination followed by a brief intake interview.
Our goal is to get a sense of your medical history and your aesthetic aspirations. Once we understand where you are and where you’re going, we will propose a customized course of treatment that is tailored to your needs.
How to Prepare
At your private consultation, Dr. Omidi or one of his staff will provide you with a set of individualized instructions based on your health history. But, there are some basic things to keep in mind before heading into any kind of minimally invasive procedure.
We recommend that you stop taking any medications or herbal supplements that would promote heavy bleeding, as this will cause obvious complications. Also, it would be wise to take a break from smoking or drinking before and after your procedure. These habits may inhibit your otherwise speedy recovery.
Compared to the surgical alternatives, BodyTite is a relatively simple procedure. It only takes between one and three hours, so you’ll be in, out, and done in only an afternoon.
When you come in for your procedure, we’ll set you up in your VIP treatment room to make you comfortable. A member of the medical team will prepare you for the treatment by applying topical anesthesia which reduces discomfort and protects your skin from the radiofrequency waves.
The treatment begins in earnest when your attending medical team makes a series of small, pencil-thin incisions in the treatment area. These tiny holes allow the BodyTite device access to the area underneath the epidermis, where the subcutaneous fat tissue can be found. A long, thin probe on the BodyTite device is inserted through one of the holes and moved through the treatment area. Meanwhile, another probe remains outside the skin. The probes gently emit soothing waves of radiofrequency energy.
The heat liquefies fat cells, making them easier to vacuum out. The heating also stimulates collagen production in the treatment area, which provides long-lasting, skin-tightening benefits. After the radiofrequency waves have done their work, the fat tissue will be carefully extracted.
BodyTite’s brief and easy recovery is one of the procedure’s most appealing assets.
More involved surgeries can take you out of action for weeks or months. But, with BodyTite, the downtime is very minimal. You don’t have to plan extended breaks from work or social activities. You can return home on the day of the procedure. You will be advised to wear a compression garment for a few weeks.
Discomfort from your BodyTite session is fairly minimal. It is quite common to experience swelling, soreness, and redness at the treatment area. Your skin may also appear uneven for a few weeks after the procedure. This is a normal reaction as your skin is adjusting to the new distribution of fat under the surface. The time it takes for a total recovery shall depend on the size of the treatment area. Any and all side effects should resolve quickly and completely in under a month.
Be sure to keep any follow-up appointments you make with Dr. Omidi’s office so that we can closely monitor your recovery and help you admire your stunning results! Generally, our patients are quite happy with what they see as soon as the swelling goes down.
You will see some improvement in the treatment area immediately following your BodyTite session, but the best is yet to come. Your beautiful results will fully blossom over the next six to twelve months as new collagen support forms under your skin.
During your consultation with Dr. Omidi and his team, a customized treatment will be planned with your aesthetic goals in mind. Since every patient’s needs are different, there is no set price that can be provided prior to your consultation. The cost of your BodyTite treatment depends on a number of factors. These include, but are not limited to, the area to be treated, the number of areas treated, and how extensive the procedure may be. Our staff will go over these variables with you during your private, one-on-one consultation.
Does BodyTite really work?
BodyTite is an effective, minimally invasive, body contouring procedure. It uses radiofrequency (RF) energy to remove fat and tighten skin—all in a single session. RF energy encourages collagen production, which provides supple support to lax and sagging skin. It can be an effective way to treat skin laxity resulting from weight loss, childbirth or aging. BodyTite is often performed in conjunction with liposuction. However, unlike liposuction and other procedures, BodyTite is minimally invasive.
Is BodyTite permanent?
BodyTite’s stunning results will remain for as long as you maintain them. The quality and length of your results depend on the quality of care that you put into them. A healthy diet and exercise routine is needed to prevent new deposits of fat from forming.
How much fat can BodyTite remove?
BodyTite is a body contouring procedure that is capable of removing unflattering fat from problem areas otherwise resistant to diet and exercise. However, it is not a weight loss procedure. Qualified patients must be at or near their ideal weight in order to be considered for BodyTite. Still, BodyTite’s RF system is quite effective at melting away stubborn fat bulges. Patients will experience up to a 45% reduction of fat in the treatment area. These remarkable results can be accomplished quickly and easily, without the cost or commitments of surgery.
